Lighting design is more than illuminating the stage; it is an intrinsic part of creating the world, shining a light on the soul of the production.
Thomas Rodman is currently the resident lighting designer for the Alabama Shakespeare Company and has designed lighting for dance and theater throughout the country. For over 25 years, Thomas has worked in all aspects of lighting and electrics and has a keen sense of creating effective, illuminating design pieces that enhance and convey the text and subtext of a script.
Thomas' theatre credits range from Shakespeare to musicals to new works. Production highlights include Driving Miss Daisy, Harriet's Return, Nobody, In the Book Of, The Flagmaker of Market Street, Bear Country, The Grapes of Wrath and Arms and the Man.
